Position Description:

The Sales Manager will oversee Sun Light & Power’s sales and work closely with our marketing team, develop new strategies, and make data-driven decisions as we grow our organization’s sales and marketing efforts to scale.


Responsibilities:

  • Grow, develop and motivate our sales team to achieve scale through the development and implementation of training and mentorship
  • Provide sales support to team members as they navigate specific opportunities and be a resources to team members in closing sales
  • Develop hiring and org structure strategy
  • Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
  • Establish and oversee sales quotas, territories, and performance of sales consultants
  • Forecast, draft, implement, and oversee the sales budget
  • Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and board of directors to develop the mission statement
  • Work with the marketing team to communicate the sales team’s needs.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of high performance in commercial solar sales.
  • Preferred experience in residential solar sales.
  • Experience in management roles.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including time management and the ability to provide excellent presentations.
  • Experience with Salesforce software.
  • Able to type at a minimum of 50 wpm.
  • Data-driven with a thorough understanding of marketing analytics.
  • Thorough understanding of market developments.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial contracting practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Compensation:

$120K-$140K annual salary. Additional commission available for sales made.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
